My Background
Genie Bassi
I am a freelance editor working from home. I have an undergraduate from George Washington University in Anthropology and a Master of Science in Professional Writing and Technical Communication from University of Houston Downtown. My work experience includes working as an electrical designer from several commercial architectural and engineering firms. In addition, I worked at a MD Anderson, a non-profit, at first as an electrical designer and later as a business systems analysis.
I have experience with all of the Microsoft programs having used these during my career at MD Anderson. In addition, I have experience with AutoCAD.
Currently, I work for several nonprofit organizations (501.c3) as recording secretary and corresponding secretary. I have written, formatted and published a 200 page book containing chapter information for one of these organizations 3 times. I have assisted in writing, revising and formatted the bylaws for this organization.
